What is Laser Acupuncture?

Modern research has provided practitioners with alternative acupuncture treatment that did not previously exist. Laser acupuncture is practiced widely throughout Europe and Asia and is gaining popularity in the US. Lasers have been shown to stimulate cell growth and repair. We use low energy laser instead of needles to influence the acupuncture points. In this practice the laser is a low level cold laser (it does not produce heat).

Laser acupuncture is a preferred treatment for children, patients afraid of needles or immune compromised. The only limit is that only ear, hand or foot points can be used. Deep abdominal or back points do not benefit, as the laser cannot penetrate beyond 5mm. The treatment time is usually 15- 60 seconds per acupuncture point. It is completely painless.
